The KAI2 Lab is continuously looking for talented and motivated individuals to join our team. Explore the opportunities below.
We are actively looking for highly motivated PhD and MS students interested in Knowledge-Infused AI, Causal Inference, and Neuro-Symbolic computing. Prospective students should apply through the UMBC Computer Science and Electrical Engineering department and mention KAI2 Lab in their statement of purpose.
Candidates with a strong publication record in top-tier AI conferences (AAAI, IJCAI, NeurIPS, ACL) are encouraged to apply. We offer a collaborative environment with opportunities to lead research projects and mentor graduate students. Please email your CV and research statement directly to the lab director.
Undergraduate students at UMBC with a strong background in mathematics and programming (Python/PyTorch) are welcome to join us. We recommend taking our 'Introduction to AI' course before applying. Send a brief email describing your interests and your transcript.
