Knowledge-Guided CBT Reasoning in LLMs
Large language models often give generic empathy instead of clinically grounded responses. This talk presented a system mapping user messages to CBT components, grounding them in SNOMED-CT, and routing responses through CBT-guided reasoning (validation, Socratic questioning, alternative perspectives), showing improved user sentiment and principle adherence over baseline models.
